Board of Directors
As I alluded to a few months ago, as a stipulation of our recent financing we needed to create a five-person board of directors to represent our shareholders. At our first shareholder’s meeting earlier this month, the five directors were nominated and voted in. Bill and I will continue to represent the common shareholders, but we needed to also appoint three outsiders (non-employees). We’re announcing our new outside directors tomorrow and here is how they line up:
• Marty Muscatello, Outside Director and Series A Representative
• David Sobotta, Outside Director
• Pat Condon, Outside Director
As a young company, it’s critical that we surround ourselves with proven leaders and I’m excited to be working with all three of these gentlemen, all for different reasons. Marty for example, is the CEO of CCS-Inc., one of the most successful technology companies in Southwest Virginia. He’s one of the top CEOs in the region and has more than 25 years of management and executive level experience.
David spent 20 years at Apple and most of his career building and managing sales organizations. He was most recently the director of federal sales at Apple and now serves as the vice president of Federal Market Development for G3 Systems in Blacksburg, Virginia, as well as the chief evangelist for the National Lambda Rail and the Mid-Atlantic Terascale Project (MATP).
Pat is the co-founder of Rackspace, one of the top managed web hosting companies in the world. Pat has been with Rackspace from the beginning, he helped champion their revolutionary customer service organization dubbed Fanatical Support and he still plays a major strategic role as they continue to establish themselves as the leader in that space. Rackspace is a major strategic partner of ours (our primary datacenter is located in their facility) and they are a total role model for our company. They are great at what they do and their service minded attitude is exactly what we want to emulate here at Webmail. Who better to join our board than the guy who helped create all of that?
